Hello dear wonderful readers!

This is a shout out to everybody who is waiting for Sirius finally getting back in the court room and – hopefully – the Wizengamot pulling out the stick from their *** and leting  him go. Those of you who are following my story The Heart's Desire for a while already, have gotten used to rather regular and quick updates.

So, you ask, why is Zaira slacking now? Has she written herself in a corner?

No. Don't worry. Actually the next chapter is one of those where I actually do know with a lot of certainty what's going to happen. But my writing time has been brutally diminished in the last two weeks. And I'm not talking about that time where I'm sitting down on my couch or at my kitchen table relaxed and just a little bit giddy with a glass of wine / cup of coffee / box of chocolate. I'm talking that half hour on a train commute or that sleepy hour at midnight before I crawl into bed. I've been meeting myself coming back lately, and the Muse got bored and wandered off sulking, since I'm just no fun. :-/

I hope for things to get slowly better during the next week. So, I'm sorry for keeping you waiting! Just know that it's honestly not me sadistically cackling while enjoying your frustration and suffering.

To show you that I'm indeed still alive and working on it when ever I can, for those of you who are curious, a tiny little sneak peek:

Be aware that until the chapter is finished, things can still be changing.

Sirius was shifting restlessly, his eyes wandering around the by now familiar grey stone walls of the room which, Remus was hoping to what ever powers there might be, they would never have to see again after today. They had been here early. The Auror Security that had arrived shortly after he had shaken Sirius awake, had seemed nervous, and had obviously tried to get their prisoner in before the crowd of spectators had assembled fully. There had been some ugly scenes the last times, and they wanted to avoid as much of a riot as possible.

They still had nearly two hours till the hearing would begin, Aurors were standing guard outside, but here inside the small room it was just Sirius and him. Sirius had been pacing for a while, all trapped animal, subconsciously flexing his joints against the heavy shackles. Now he stood next to the small wooden table, worrying his bottom lip while he stared ahead at nothing with a determined and strangely calculating look in his eyes. Then his gaze turned to Remus.

After a moment Remus rose a single eyebrow in question.

''Give me your wand.''

Remus stared at Sirius outstretched hand.

''W-What?''

''Do you have the Calming Draught?''

''I'm not sure you should take potions before the Leglimency,'' Remus objected, wondering what was going on.

''I don't want the draught, I want the bottle.''

Remus looked into his friends determined face. The silver grey eyes were deadly serious.

''Sirius?''

''I don't trust Snape.''
